Pain in the Axe: Our Glow-In-The-Dark Axe Range

There's an axe throwing spot on every other corner now, so we built ours to not feel like the rest of them. We call it "Pain in the Axe" — glow-in-the-dark room, digital games built into the boards. Here's what you're actually paying for.

The basics

$29.99 per person for a full hour. If you're short on time, there's also a 30 minute session at $19.99 per person, same lane and same instructor, just half the time on the clock. We can host up to 24 people at once, way more room than our rage rooms allow. Every group gets its own lane and its own instructor, so even on a busy night you're not throwing next to strangers.

Boards with games built in

The boards have digital games built right into them, so you're not just throwing at a blank target over and over. Play tic-tac-toe, slots, battleship, and a bunch of other games, right on the board. We also built freestyle challenges into the scoring. This isn't set up for serious tournament throwers. It's built for a family night out or a group of friends who just want to have fun with it. It's less about being the best thrower in the room and more about having a good time with whoever you brought.

The boards are made so the axe sticks on impact instead of bouncing back at you, which matters more once you're actually up there than it sounds like it should. When customers told us the boards were hard to stick an axe into, we switched the type of wood we use so it's easier to stick, and since people have praised the new boards, we know it was worth the change.

Staff who actually teach you

Every lane comes with an instructor who walks you through form before you throw anything. They don't just hand you an axe and walk away. They teach you how to throw it the right way, so you're not just guessing at it. Every staff member gets trained on every activity we run, so they know how the boards keep score and how the games work, and they stay calm and helpful even on a busy Friday night.

Safety

Same rules as everywhere else on our property: closed-toe shoes, signed waiver, valid ID, show up 15 minutes early. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign. If our staff think you've had too much to drink, we'll ask you to leave, and that's not a refundable situation.

Who it works best for

With room for up to 24 people, axe throwing works better than the rage room once your group runs past six. That makes it a good fit for birthdays and work outings. Our team building tiers run 90 minutes with all tools included, and it's a great fit for a date night too, since a little friendly competition goes a long way.

It also bundles well. Pair it with a rage room or the VR arena in the same trip and you save $10 per person for 2 activities, $15 for 3, or $20 for all 4.
