The Ultimate Guide to Daytona Beach Entertainment: What to Book for Date Night, Girls' Night, Birthdays & More
September 2, 2026 · Just Smash That Team

Thinking about smashing stuff in our rage room? This guide breaks down what you get, what the upgrades add, and which booking to pick for a date night, a girls' night, a birthday, an anniversary, or a bigger group. Axe throwing, VR, and the paint room get their own section near the bottom.
The base package is a great deal
The base price is $44.99 per person for 30 minutes. You get a private room just for your group, plus a sledgehammer, bat, or crowbar and all the safety gear. Staff clean everything up after, so you just walk out when the timer ends. Each person gets 20 small items (like mugs, plates, and wine glasses) and 5 medium items (like vases or an old DVD player) to break. That's plenty for most people who just want to have fun and blow off some steam. If you want to smash bigger stuff, like furniture or a TV, you'll need an upgrade. That's what the upgrades are for.
More people means more stuff to break
We never put two different groups in the same room. If you book alone, you get the whole room to yourself. Here's the thing to remember: the 20 small and 5 medium items are per person, not per room. So if you bring 3 friends, that's 4 people total, and now the room has 80 small items and 20 medium items in it. Nobody even had to buy an upgrade for that. So if you want more to smash, the easiest and cheapest way is to just bring more people instead of paying for a bigger upgrade.
How the upgrades work
Each upgrade adds on top of your base entry — it doesn't replace it. Here's what you get with no upgrade at all:
Base Entry ($44.99) — 20 small items, 5 medium items, 0 large items, 0 extra-large items, per person.
And here's what each upgrade adds on top of that:
| Upgrade | Adds | Small | Medium | Large | XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Outrage | +$19.99 | 30 | 10 | 0 | 0 |
| Big Smash | +$34.99 | 30 | 10 | 1 | 0 |
| The Wrath | +$59.99 | 40 | 15 | 2 | 0 |
| Overkill | +$89.99 | 50 | 25 | 2 | 1 |
Outrage just gives you more small and medium stuff to break — no large items. If you want to break something big, like furniture, an appliance, or a TV, Big Smash is the cheapest upgrade that includes one. But if breaking something big is the whole point for you, skip Outrage and grab Big Smash instead, since that's the first tier that actually has a large item in it.
Date night and anniversaries: we made this one easy
This is the one occasion where we already built the booking for you instead of making you pick everything yourself. It's called "Date Night": 2 players, with The Wrath Pack upgrade already included, for $149.97 flat (before taxes and fees). You don't have to do any of the upgrade math above — just pick a date and a room. That means you and your date walk in with 2 large items to break together, not just 1. It's perfect for anniversaries too. If one large item between the two of you sounds like plenty, check out Duo Pro below instead — it's a bit cheaper.
Girls' night, guys' night, best-friend trips
We made another shortcut booking for this one, called "Duo Pro." It works just like Date Night, but with a smaller upgrade: 2 players with Big Smash already included, for $124.97 flat (before taxes and fees). Just pick a date and a room — no upgrade math needed. It's our best-selling booking for a reason. Here's what one of our real reviews said: "The rage room was so much fun for me and my bestie... we did an upgrade for more items, and it was the perfect amount. We had just finished the last item when the timer went off." That's Big Smash being exactly the right amount for two people. If you and your friend want two large items instead of one, go with Date Night's Wrath Pack instead.
Birthdays
Birthdays got their own pre-made booking too. Just pick how many people are coming, anywhere from 1 to 6, and Big Smash plus our $5 custom celebration message are both already included. No extra upgrades or add-ons to remember. Tell us what you want the message to say, and we'll paint it right onto a mirror or glass pane inside the room — so the birthday message becomes part of what gets smashed, instead of just a banner on the wall. If your birthday group is bigger than 6 people, don't try to squeeze everyone into one room. Check out the team building option below instead.
Bachelorette parties and bigger groups
Once your group is bigger than 6 or 7 people, one rage room isn't going to cut it. That's why the rage room has its own team building option for groups of 10, 15, or 20 people, with its own group pricing. This way you're not stuck paying extra trying to cram a big group into a room built for 6. If your group wants to try something different instead, axe throwing can fit up to 24 people across multiple lanes, each with their own instructor.
Axe throwing, VR, and the paint room
Now that the rage room math makes sense, here's a quick look at our other three activities. Axe throwing starts at $29.99 an hour, and that includes a standard axe, your lane, and an instructor. You can add a knife, butcher knife, spear, or ninja stars for $9.99 each, or get all four for $24.99 — totally optional, unlike the rage room's large items. It also has its own team building option for groups of 10, 15, or 20. VR comes in two options instead of upgrade tiers: Action VR Games is $19.99 for 25 minutes of combat games, great alone or as something quick to do before dinner. Escape the VR is $29.99 for 50 minutes of puzzle-solving with 2 to 5 players, and it's a better fit for a full date night than a quick stop. The paint room keeps things simple — $24.99 for 30 minutes, with 7 paint bottles and a canvas per person. Extras like a second canvas or a paint gun cost $2.49 to $3.49 and are totally optional. It's also the only one of our four activities with no age minimum, so it's the best pick if anyone in your group is under 18. It has its own team building option for groups of 10, 15, or 20 too.
Bottom line
Not sure if a large item matters to you? Don't pay for one yet — base entry or Outrage will probably be plenty. Planning a couple's night? Book Date Night and skip all the math. Have a group bigger than 6? Look at team building pricing before you try to squeeze everyone into a small room. And if there's a kid in your group, the paint room is the easiest pick.
