The Ultimate Guide to Daytona Beach Entertainment: What to Book for Date Night, Girls' Night, Birthdays & More

A rage room session can be as simple or as big as you want it to be. This guide walks through what's included in the base price, what each upgrade adds, and which booking fits a date night, a girls' night, a birthday, an anniversary, or a bigger group. Axe throwing, VR, and the paint room each get a section near the bottom.

What the base package includes

The base price is $44.99 per person for 30 minutes. That gets you a private room for your group, a sledgehammer, bat, or crowbar, and all of the safety gear. Staff clean up afterward, so you can walk out when the timer ends. Each person gets 20 small items (mugs, plates, and wine glasses) and 5 medium items (vases or an old DVD player) to break. For most people who just want to blow off some steam, that's plenty. If you want to smash something bigger, like furniture or a TV, you'll need an upgrade. We cover those below.

More people means more to break

We never put two different groups in the same room, so if you book alone, the whole room is yours. One thing worth knowing: the 20 small and 5 medium items are per person, not per room. Bring 3 friends and that's 4 people, which puts 80 small items and 20 medium items in your room without buying a single upgrade. If you want more to smash, the easiest and cheapest way to get it is to bring more people instead of paying for a bigger upgrade.

How the upgrades work

Each upgrade adds to your base entry instead of replacing it. With no upgrade at all, this is what you get:

Base Entry ($44.99): 20 small items, 5 medium items, 0 large items, and 0 extra-large items, per person.

And here's what each upgrade adds on top of that:

Outrage only gives you more small and medium items, with no large ones. If you want to break something big, like furniture, an appliance, or a TV, Big Smash is the cheapest upgrade that includes a large item. If that's the whole point of your visit, skip Outrage and go straight to Big Smash.

Date night and anniversaries: already built for you

This is the one occasion where we've already put the booking together. It's called Date Night: 2 players with The Wrath Pack upgrade included, for $149.97 flat (before taxes and fees). There's no upgrade math. You pick a date and a room. You and your date also get 2 large items to break together instead of 1, which works well for an anniversary. Girls' night, guys' night, and best-friend trips

For this one we built Duo Pro. It works like Date Night with a smaller upgrade: 2 players with Big Smash included, for $124.97 flat (before taxes and fees). Pick a date and a room, and you're set. It's our best-selling booking, and one of our reviews explains why: "The rage room was so much fun for me and my bestie... we did an upgrade for more items, and it was the perfect amount. We had just finished the last item when the timer went off." That's what Big Smash looks like for two people. Birthdays

Birthdays have their own booking too. Choose how many people are coming, from 1 to 6, and Big Smash plus our $5 custom celebration message are already included. Tell us what the message should say, and we'll paint it on a mirror or glass pane inside the room. That way the message becomes part of what gets smashed instead of just a banner on the wall. Bachelorette parties and bigger groups

Once your group passes 6 or 7 people, one rage room stops being practical. That's why the rage room has a team building option for groups of 10, 15, or 20, with its own group pricing. You won't pay extra to cram a big group into a room built for 6. If your group would rather try something different, axe throwing fits up to 24 people across multiple lanes, each with its own instructor.

Axe throwing, VR, and the paint room

Now that the rage room pricing makes sense, here's a quick look at our other three activities.

Axe throwing starts at $29.99 an hour, which includes a standard axe, your lane, and an instructor. You can add a knife, butcher knife, spear, or ninja stars for $9.99 each, or all four for $24.99. They're optional, unlike the rage room's large items. It also has a team building option for groups of 10, 15, or 20.

VR comes in two sessions instead of upgrade tiers. Action VR Games is $19.99 for 25 minutes of combat games, and it works well solo or as a quick stop before dinner. Escape the VR is $29.99 for 50 minutes of puzzle-solving with 2 to 5 players, and it's a better fit for a full date night than a quick stop.

The paint room keeps things simple: $24.99 for 30 minutes, with 7 paint bottles and a canvas per person. Extras like a second canvas or a paint gun run $2.49 to $3.49 and are optional. It's also the only one of our four activities with no minimum age, so it's the best pick if anyone in your group is under 18 (a parent or guardian still signs their waiver). It has a team building option for groups of 10, 15, or 20 as well.

Bottom line

Not sure a large item matters to you? Skip it for now. Base entry or Outrage will probably be plenty. Planning a couple's night? Book Date Night and skip the math. Have a group bigger than 6? Look at team building pricing before you try to fit everyone into a small room. And if there's a kid in your group, the paint room is the easiest choice.
